Blog Birthday and Vinyl Giveaway. . . .



Oops....I just realized that my "one year anniversary" for blogging was the other day....November 12th....I almost missed it!  My very first post was on the "fake" wainscoting that I put in our hallway.




I started blogging completely by accident.  I've always been thrifty (some may call me cheap!), so people would frequently ask me what my current project was.  Many times they were prompted by the paint colors that they saw on my hands.  "What are you painting now?"  they would ask!


When I saw the word "free" next to blogger, I decided to jump in and try it.  It was a Friday afternoon and by the next Monday, I actually had followers....although I didn't even really know what followers were! 


So in honor of my "blog birthday".....I'm giving away 2 sets of this menu board vinyl from Jill at Utah Vinyl....it's just my way of saying THANK YOU for reading my blog.....for leaving wonderful comments.....and just allowing me to be a part of this unique and creative community!




My friend, Cheryl, took her vinyl and made a chalkboard with an old frame from Goodwill!

    Happy Birthday Blog! I just started following you a few weeks ago and love the ideas. I would take this and also put a frame around it and use it for my weekly menu planning, instead of in the notebook I carry around. That way my husband won't have to ask me every day what's for dinner, and I'll be more likely to stick to the menu.

    I currently write my weekly menu on any scrap of paper I can find and then stick it to the side of the fridge. A beautiful menu board like this would be much more attractive! I'd love it :) And HAPPY Bloggy Birthday!
